Ultimate frisbee at the park

We all go to the park on Sunday afternoons and Mason plays with his buddies while Jeni and I play ultimate frisbee (like soccer, but with a frisbee).

Sometimes he'll stop playing and cheer us on. (Jeni is the figure to the right wearing a gray t-shirt and black shorts.)

Cheering on Mama

After playing for a few hours, we all share a watermelon. The kids have their share. (Sorry it's fuzzy. Should have had the flash on.)

Natalie, Mason, and May enjoying melon

It doesn't look like it, but Mason did get some melon into his mouth and not just down the front of his shirt. (I figured out the flash!)

Inhaling watermelon

We took Mason's shirt off and he started stalking Gareth, trying to get a hug and kiss. I don't know if those two things are related.

Superma{so}n!

Mason has taken a liking to his blanket (or "buh") and needs it to fall asleep at night and to hold it for a while in the morning.

He also enjoys it when I tie it around his neck as a cape. Mild-mannered Mason becomes Superma{so}n!

Happy superhero

Sometimes while playing, he gets a distress signal and has to jump into action.

Mason is #1

Hogarth doesn't typically wear clothes, but he had a sore (allergy related?) on his neck last week. It must have itched because he scratched it and ended up breaking the skin. So we put the shirt on to protect him from himself. Anyway, he kind of looks like he could be Superma{so}n's sidekick.

He does humor us

After saving the day, Superma{so}n isn't to proud too pitch in and help clean the lair.
A superhero has to clean up too

Mason with his playgroup pals

Mason had his friends from playgroup over last week, and showed them a good time in the backyard.

Can he still see his feet over his belly?

May has the same birthday as Mason. That makes them twins, sorta.

OK, not really.

May's mom, Rachel, didn't quite understand Mason's grunts and arm motions. For the record, he is asking her to throw the large purple ball up into the air as high as she can.
